Epicor ERP Document Management from COGITA - What is it?
Document Management refers to technologies used to electronically capture, store, access, view, process, and distribute information. It is often combined with workflow, which results in streamlined business processes, automated routing and distribution of documents, electronic reports and forms, and instant access to electronic versions of documents from the desktop.
Epicor has a number of solutions that exist to satisfy Document Management requirements within Epicor ERP. One of these is Advanced Print Management – also known as APM. An extension to APM is APM Plus. So what is APM and how can you use it to improve your document management? Most of our clients are already licensed for APM and many are already licensed for APM+.

APM offers document distribution capabilities. You print to a virtual printer and the document (based on the rules you have established) is printed, faxed or emailed. APM Plus offers additionally the ability to archive the printed documents and search the repository, managing supplemental documents that have originated outside of Epicor ERP and associate them with Epicor ERP data, and distribute attachments along with documents sent through APM. For example: send Quote with Specifications or send Job Traveller with Drawings.
