COGITA NZ Client, Howard Wright, Expands into the European Market
Recently Howard Wright was highlighted in the NZ Herald, talking about an overseas award giving Howard Wright the confidence to expand into the European market.
Howard Wright Ltd is in the business of making the specialised beds used by hospitals, and faces tough competition from global operators.
Bruce Moller, Howard Wright's Executive Director also said recently,
"with Epicor ERP we are able to provide a faster turn around on quotes and customer queries. Business performance information is more integrated, accurate and timely. Epicor ERP is a key foundation to our future growth".

| COGITA Epicor User Group Melbourne Update |
 Thanks to COGITA's clients who came along to COGITA's Manufacturer's User Group that took place on the 28th July 2010 at MacDonald Johnston in Melbourne.
After a plant tour of MacDonald Jonhston, the participants discovered MacDonald Jonhston's key learnings and benefits achieved so far.
When asked to give some feedback about the content, Rod Daley, ERP System Manager at the Signcraft Group said, "Good level of understanding of how the user is using the software, how they adapt to it in different industries and some greater understanding of what is in the current version".
"User Groups are not only a great way to share experiences and compare use of the system, they also represent a great networking opportunity," said Roger Fairgray, Director Client Services at COGITA.

| Tobi Returns |
Tobi Vaudrey left COGITA in 2007 to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Tobi was involved in creating environment perception systems using cameras - eyes for cars.
The research started with a trip to Germany where Tobi worked at Daimler (Mercedes Benz) for six months as a research programmer. During this time he travelled all over Europe and had a fantastic time. He then returned to New Zealand to start the project at the University of Auckland. Media quickly picked this up and he was interviewed and showcased on Campbell Live, regarding the 'cars with eyes'. Tobi then helped to grow the research group, increased the resources (more cameras and a Mercedes A-Class) and produced many publications. Tobi has published over 34 publications, including some in top research journals.
He also travelled to Japan and Germany for international conferences as an invited speaker at various universities and lectured/tutored at the University of Auckland for computer vision, engineering mathematics, and principals of programming.
One of the top accolades was coming runner-up in the Future Science and Technology category for the MacDiarmid Young Scientist of the Year 2009 competition.
In 2010, he finished his thesis, and decided to return to COGITA. Tobi's next challenge is becoming a father in September.
